Basseterre, frequented by cruise ships, with its shopping mall and colonial buildings, of which perhaps the most beautiful are located a little outside, e.g. Fairwell Great House or the Clay Villa Great House Plantations. In the north of the island: The mighty fortress of Brimbstone Hill, UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the east of the island: The St Kitts Railways with its double-decker wagons on the journey through the sugar cane fields. On a island tour you will also see English country houses, such as Romney Manor, or ruins from the heyday of sugar cane cultivation, such as Wingfield Estate. In addition, there are magnificent viewpoints such as the Timothy Hill Overlook in the south between serpentines and the sea or the view from one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Caribbean: the Royal St Kitts Golf Club. Caribbean sandy beaches, more lively, such as at Frigate Bay, or more secluded in the south, e.g. at Sandy Bank Bay. A special experience for hikers is the crater of the island's volcano.
