Montserrat is associated with one of the most active volcanoes in the world. 2/3 of the island is closed to the public. Compared to the island of Stromboli on the Aeolian Islands, it is nevertheless an island of mystical beauty, which fascinates not only volcanologists. Accessible by flights from Antigua or a boat charter from Guadeloupe, visiting the almost untouched island is still a small logistical challenge.
Beautiful beaches, romantic places and hiking for overlooking the volcano, small villages, farmsteads and the omnipresent sea do not let boredom arise and forget the stress. A small and good accommodation structure of apartments, villas, private rooms and hotels allows stays in different comfort categories.
The island has a very interesting leisure-scene with little and sunny bars, where there is always something on offer. It is easy to get in touch with the local population. It's cheerful and cozy. Already the Beatles were here and enjoyed it ....
