One of the most popular holiday destinations for the French welcomes you with dream beaches on the south coast: from Gosier to the Pointe des Châteaux near Saint Francois, great beaches such as the Plage des Bois Jolan or the Plage des Raisins Clairs await you. Insider tips are a little more remote, such as the Plage des Salines at the Pointe des Chateaux. Holidays in sleepy villages and beautiful beaches await you on the west coast near Port Louis and Anse Bertrand, e.g. at Souffleur beach. In the Grands Fonds in the interior of the country, colonial history comes alive, as it does on the north and north-east coast. High life with restaurants, cafés and discos all along the south coast, e.g. at the marina of Bas-du-Fort and near Gosier. Le Moule is an architectural gem. The church, the town hall, the Edgar Clerc Museum, etc.
