The islands are probably among the most beautiful places in the world. The panorama of Terre de Haut is world class. It is classified by UNESCO as one of the 10 most beautiful bays in the world. There are ferry connections from Trois-Rivières, Pointe-à-Pitre and Basse Terre. Terre-de-Haut is busy, although the flow of visitors is quickly dispersed and there is no appearance of mass tourism.
Terre-de-Haut develops a special charm when the day tourists return to Guadeloupe. During the day, the Fort Napoleon is worth seeing, as is a stroll through the town and one of the paradisiacal beaches. We can arrange private rooms, holiday flats and give you tips.
Beautiful beaches where you are not alone even during the day.... Beware of the iguanas' long tail. It is quite sharp and like a knife. Otherwise you are not alone, but plenty of space under shady palm trees. The Plage de Pompierre is considered the most beautiful on the island and can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes from the pier.
The islands were settled by Bretons, whose descendants still inhabit the islands. The sun hat salako, the churches, the nasses (boxes made of bamboo used for fishing, crabbing, langoustine). Many details are reminiscent of Brittany.....
Why not try the "Tourments d'amour"? Whether these love affairs will also turn your head, sung by Frankie Vincent......
Diving off Terre-de-Haut is still a secret tip. secret tip, e.g. in front of the "pain de sucre", the sugar loaf. Details on request.
A tour around the islands with a rented boat. We recommend crossing from Trois-Rivières by ferry, as there is a good swell from time to time.
