DI Humphrey  approachs

DI Richard Poole is murdered outside a villa in the Deshaies Botanical Gardens. Family reasons were the deciding factor for Ben Miller to leave the series. Humphrey Goodman succeeds him as an inspector who never needs a notepad. It was a certain risk to change the leading actor. But the BBC's ratings rose.....because of this, cast members were transferred in the future rather than "killed off". The door remains open for a return. Humphrey prefers beer to Richard Poole, is clumsy and has fewer problems with the heat. He is an amateur birdwatcher and also has his quirks, notably his mismatched T-shirts and his missing pens. His father is a crown lawyer, his aunt Mary an excellent investigator and he gets a new crime series in the garden paradise of Cornwall with Beyond Paradise 2023. And this despite the fact that his "dad" put his police diploma in the guest bathroom above the toilet.....His wife Sally wants to give him a second chance in episode 8. His eyes, however, are only on Camille Bordey. The retirement home in this case - the Habitation Grande Anse in Ziotte. And the hot rhythms at the pensioners' party?

You can rent the luxurious villas above in the Botanical Garden. You will be in the midst of a rich bird life. In The early bird, ornithologists search for a rare parrot. It was filmed in the Guadeloupe National Park.  There are no parrots in the wild there, as Captain Jack correctly pointed out, certainly not the extinct green Sainte Marie parrot, but there are other tropical birds such as the loriquet or the hummingbird, as well as numerous waterfalls and rivers and great walks. If that's too much for you, why not stay at the Créole Beach Hôtel in Gosier, where the receptionist in episode 3.4 is a smuggler.... who was caught in a wild chase in Pointe-Noire. In reality, the sprawling hotel is very well rated in the usual portals, with a high recommendation rate. You will also have the opportunity to have a cocktail at Mark Campese's Reef Club, "where the rich play their game", quote DS Camille Bordey, in episode 3. In reality, the exclusive 4-star hotel Auberge de la Vieille Tour in Gosier with its great view of the lighthouse of the islet of Gosier.

Our tour starts in Deshaies with a visit to the botanical garden. It goes through the Guadeloupe National Park, as in episode 6, where we will visit one or two waterfalls. In the afternoon we will be at the Créole Beach Hotel for lunch and the tour ends with a walk in Deshaies. No villas will be visited on this tour due to the higher km. It also goes through Pointe Noire, where Camille met your father Marlon.

Where did Mark Campese play cricket in episode 3 with a beautiful view of the island off Gosier? Where was his wife Laureen's bar in the mangroves? Where was the art gallery at the Pointe de Batterie in Deshaies? Was it at the restaurant Chez Ernest?  Where was the camp in episode 6? A visit to Sebastian Island (Kahouanne Island) is not possible in terms of time. This island by Alexander Jackson (Episode 7, The Man with the golden gun) can only be reached by boat charter and visited as part of our 2-day tour over Season 3. There is a small natural beach there, but no houses or villas. Marc Campese may have lost his wife to Carlton Paris, but the Reef Club (Auberge de la Vieille Tour) still has one of the most beautiful beaches in Guadeloupe. Maybe you'd like to stay at the Tendacayou & Spa high above Deshaies like Gloria Talbot in episode 6? You don't need a "liaison" for that .....
