Which fruits go into a planteur cocktail? How do you prepare "accras de morue" from stockfish? What are "dombrés ouassous"? Or banana fritters "beignets de banane"? Let yourself be surprised and plan a relaxing holiday with fun events.
Knowledge of French is certainly an advantage, but not essential. Communication works just as well. You should certainly not expect perfection, but you will have some wonderful and memorable experiences. There is time to relax and swim in between.
