The Aurora Golf Course on Anguilla is one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. Designed by Greg Norman in 2006, the 18-hole course offers breathtaking views, as does the Robert Trent Jones II-designed course at the Four Seasons Resort on the island of Nevis. But the 18-hole Royal St Kitts Golf Course in St Kitts also has a very good reputation in a scenic location. The 18-hole courses in Saint Francois on Guadeloupe or at Trois-Ilets in Martinique are not quite as well known, but much cheaper. Another top 18-hole course awaits you in Antigua: Cedar Valley.
The par72 course begins with a spectacular view of the island of Saint Martin. The 7063-yard round runs panoramically along the sea until the 16th hole. Handicap (slope) 136, pre-booking, dress code (no jeans). The course is part of the 5-star Aurora Resort Golf & Spa. Green fee $250 normal rate for non-hotel guests 2021. Hotel guests receive special rates ($75 in summer and $100 the rest of the year, as of 2021). The site is currently being renovated. Bar, restaurant, showers and changing rooms.
he 18-hole golf course of the Four Season Resort on the island of Nevis is undoubtedly "the" highlight of the island. The spectators known for the island of Nevis are obviously quite golf-savvy..... and enjoy the dreamlike view of the sea and the neighbouring island of St Kitts on the course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The quite challenging 71-par course requires slopes of 125/132 for the men and 128/129 for the ladies. Golf guests are always welcome. The green fee in 2020 was $ 190. Together with the Royal St Kitts Golf Club, the Admirals Cup Pro Am is hosted in February - the only pro tournament on two different courses.
The Royal St Kitts Golf Club is adjacent to the 4-star Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino. It is one of the most spectacular and well-maintained courses in the Caribbean. The views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea are gigantic. Holes 15 to 17 of the par 71 18-hole-course are located directly on the Caribbean Sea. On the Atlantic side beautiful palm trees. Due to the frequently present wind, the course is difficult to play, especially hole 6 with its 457 yards. The price/performance ratio of $ 165 (as of January 2022) for the green fee/non-hotel guests is always described as very good. Depending on the tee: slope, between 118 and 130. Favourite quite clearly: Hole 17.
There are 2 golf courses in Antigua, both near St John's. The 18-hole Cedar Valley appears in the usual rankings. But the 18-hole Jolly Harbour is also worth a tour, is in a fantastic location and offers a varied course. The 6257-yard, par-70 Cedar Valley (slope 124) begins with one of the toughest holes in the Caribbean. After that, it gets more cozy. You can choose between 9 holes (green fee $31, 2021) and 18 holes (green fee $60, 2021). Restaurant, bar. Clubhouse rather simple, changing rooms too. This probably explains the low price. Nevertheless: definitely worth a tour. At Jolly Harbour, the standard is also simpler and the place is beautiful.
Designed in 1978 by Robert Trent Jones and renovated in 2010, this almost 6 km long golf course is quite centrally located at the pretty seaside resort of St Francois on the Grande-Terre part of the island. Par 70, slope 126. Bars, restaurant and marina close to the course. The first part is considered a bit more difficult and interesting, the second half is easier. Cheap accommodation at the ***Bwa Chik Hotel directly at the course. Green fee for one day € 77,00 1 player. Price of the year 2021. There are time restrictions during the high season in the European winter. Equipment can be hired for a fee. Nice clubhouse, bar, restaurant, changing rooms.
