Litterary "Walks"

Join us on a literary journey through Guadeloupe. We take our inspiration from Max Etna's book "Le voyage en Guadeloupe - Promenade litteraire sur plus de 120 sites".  Discover with us romantic places that invite you to dream. Enjoy romantic sunsets in beautiful places such as the Hemmingway Bar in Deshaies or the bar of the Hotel Fort Royal. Listen to extracts from works by various writers. Talk about them with like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere. Please note that this trip is only available for selected dates or groups on request. Who was the poet André Schwarz-Bart? If possible, we will visit his house in Goyave. Perhaps we will meet his wife Simone Schwarz-Bart, winner of the Grand Prix de lectrices de elle. Join us on a literary journey through Martinique. We will meet the mythical characters of the island, such as Jean Baptiste Labat (the inventor of rum), Josephine de Beauharnais (Napoleon's wife). We look at legends such as the Soukounyan, a figure who transforms nothing into flying fire and is a friendly neighbour during the day, or Maman Dlo, the protector of all aquatic creatures. We look back at the heyday of sugar cane production and, of course, we also discuss Creole culture with its makos and mackerel (curious contemporaries).
